Default Neocron

Some of you may have noticed the banner ad for the Game Neocron flash above occasionally. I played the original and while it was fun it was so buggy i couldnt stand it after a while. Then they revamped it for neocron 2 and it was quite alot better and I actually payed to play it until I had to move and lost internet. I've yet to try the new version but Man, that game had a TON of cool concepts. And it also was the most hardcore pvp game I've ever played. I dont think i'll go back as I'm spoiled by not paying to play now... but I had alot of fun in that one, anyone else ever play it?

I think this should be moved to off-topic.

The banner got me interested and I went to the site to look at it. I was tempted to get it, but I realized that they charge monthly.

I didn't notice any differance from 2 to 2.1, to be honest. I used to play when I quit AO, but canceled my account a while after due to lack of players. It's a great idea, the game just needs some improvements in graphics, city layout, design and depth. If they allowed more ways to customize your charactor (Maybe more than 4 head designs?) I'd still be playin'. I liked the rifle assassin.

yea it had its problems, but the crafting system ruled, having your own storefront ruled, the vehicles ruled.... and it wasnt instanced so it had the feel of a really big world. which was actually fine because of the different means of getting round besides having some "pro" runner drag ya around.
